Every man should have a great pair of brown dress shoes and an equally fine pair of black dress shoes. That's easy. If you want to try something a bit different this fall, try a sleek grey. Shoes are one accessory that all men must own and they can really differentiate your style. Let's face it, there isn't a whole lot of clothing options for men...you are pretty much wearing a button-up, t-shirt, sweater or jacket. With shoes, you can definitely add your distinct style and flair to any ordinary shirt and give it that unexpected twist. Look for shoes with either unique details in the style and traditional color or go with a classic style in a unique color. Venture out and try a grey shoes in any style from a dress shoe to a tennis shoe like the Grey Converse by John Varvatos one shown here!

Gold is sun kissed. Gold is romantic. Gold is rich. Gold is the IT metal this fall! My theory is that anyone who grew up in the 80's or 90’s thinks of gold as being tacky or gangster. Not anymore! When it comes to gold clothing, one great piece goes a long way. Keep everything more subtle or classic if you go with a gold statement piece like a dress, jacket or pants. I just bought a gold sequin jacket myself. I'll pair it with a sleek black tank and skinny jeans. Coordinate your gold piece with neutral colors like black, brown or cream to offset the shine. If you aren't ready to take the plunge, start with your accessories. A gold multi-chain necklaces or bracelets are easy to do. It's all about taking this trend and adapting it to you. Whether you decide to baby step into gold with accessories or jump in with a sequin dress...it doesn't matter. Just go for the gold!
Men's trends move at a much slower pace than women's styles. This fall, you'll see some similarities in the trends, but mostly you'll find that men's fashions are quite subtle and is really moving toward refinement.
Military You'll see military style shirts, jackets and pant details. Think army and air force, not so much nautical. Which means it is time to put away the Sperry’s. My favorite military pieces a watch with a canvas strap. Make sure it looks sophisticated not cheesy.
Suits Ask almost any woman and she'll tell you that nothing beats a man in a suit. Young, trendy men are sporting the 3-piece suit their grandfather wore. Shoulders are getting a bit broader, waists are staying slim and pants going a bit narrower. The styles seen in Mad Men are strikingly similar. If you wear your suit without a tie, be sure to wear a shirt that has a stiffer collar so it stands on its own.
Broaches Men are much more limited on accessories options than women, so when an accessory comes into trend, it's a great opportunity to change up your look. A broach is a very classic piece. I especially like the vintage and antiques looking style. Wear a broach on the lapel of your suit or a jacket.
Fall fashions have been in the stores as early as July. August is the time to replace worn out items from last year and update with a few trends from this year. Even if it is still 90 degrees where you are, now is the ideal time to get the best selections. The good news about the fall trends this year is that you will find many trends have carried over from last year! We love this because the more you can wear something the more value you can get out of it!
Jackets: You can't have too many jackets this season. Jackets are being seen in all sorts of materials including leather, suede, faux fur and colored denim. Military style jackets are particularly popular. They are the perfect way to layer and stay warm this winter. Tailored jackets also naturally have a slimming affect. This is one item that everyone can wear. Look for a perfect fit or get it altered to look just right!
Over-the-knee Boots: Boots in general are very in this fall. If you tried getting a pair late last winter, I hope you learned your lesson and will start shopping for your perfect boots now. They will likely sell out again this year as more and more people are pairing them with skinny jeans. Riding boots and boots with cuffs on the bottom are also popular.
Skinny Jeans/Jeggings: I remember years ago trying to convince people to buy a pair of skinny jeans. Many didn't want to invest in these stylish jeans because they thought they would be out of style. I've had mine for 5 or so years now...I don't think they are going anywhere. In fact, the jegging, which is a combination of a legging and a jean, is very hot too. You can't go wrong with a simple legging either. Pants that elongate and narrow your leg are in!
Whether you want to keep your luscious locks from getting faded or your scalp from flaking off, some of this seasons must have hats are sure to turn a female head or two your way.Wearing a hat takes confidence so make sure that you feel just as great as you look in your hat.Try on several styles until you find the one that looks perfect for you. Here are three great hats for you to try.
FedoraThis classic staple is easy for almost any man to wear.Fedoras made of straw are light weight and appropriate for the summer months.Leave your felt and wool ones for the fall and winter.Wear it slightly cocked to the side for a little added attitude.
Driving CapA driving cap is great for hitting the greens or chilling with a pair of shorts and kicks.Chose one in a print like plaid or a solid is traditional and easy to match.Wear it facing forward or backward, depending on your style.
The PorkpieOne the trendiest of the season but also probably the hardest for most men to pull off well.A porkpie resembles a fedor, but has a thinner brim and a short, flat-topped, round crown with an indentation all around.A straw one is best for summer but a felt one is the most traditional.
