For every sub-culture you are involved in, and are passionate about, there are hundreds of sub-cultures a thousand times as large as yours that exist soley for the pupose of time wasting/meaningless pursuits. Like online games.
Lose the self-important attitude and drop down on your knees (myself included) and thank God that you have at least just one person who will listen to the crap that comes out of your brain.
For every blog post the center of the universe writes, a child dies in a third world country, a person is declared homeless because of the financial fall-out, somebody loses a loved one, etc.
Take your eyes off of your own gleaming ass for one moment to realize that in the scope of things we all should be happy for the simplest things, like the fact that we even have air to breath, water to drink, cars to drive (for how long?) and people to care about.
If you're not taking 10 minutes every morning to write in your journal (you have one..right?) about all the things you're thankful about, you're missing out on a huge opportunity for self reflection and growth. Get with it.
Ask yourself if you're being humble enough, caring enough, and if you're giving enough.
