about Ruth Turner
I'm a 19 year old who has done the exciting part of my gap year (Zambia - woohoo!) and now spends 6 out of 7 nights a week scanning food in a supermarket, and then spending far too long on the internet into the early hours of the morning doing not much. but hey, only 3 more months till uni and I'm counting down the days! :-D
I love . . . . retro film posters, dancing round the house to the Killers and Franz Ferdinand, geckos, Agatha Christie, old photographs, Benjy the teddy bear, marmite on toast, rainy autumn days (if i'm inside with a big mug of tea), cups of tea in general, Gil Grissom, cold war tales of secrecy and espionage, tennis, Spiderman 2 on my PS2, books books books, the Mighty Boosh, jeans, licourice allsorts, cinemas, Spaced, the seaside, zambia, History, rainbows, superbiking and Moto GP, Empire magazine, the BBC, poetry which makes me cry.
If I could be anything i would be . . . . a cold War spy, an investigative journalist, a BBC researcher, a maker of groovy but intelligent documentaries for BBC4, a 20th century historian, a medieval monk (i may be female, but being a nun just isn't the same), film reviewer or Sherlock Holmes.
Yep, my display name did used to be "brianny". But then ppl thought I was a bloke called brian . . . its not my real name anyway, might as well change it just to confuse ppl!
who i'd like to meet
I'll meet anyone as long as they're not too weird! Geeky weird is great, freaky weird is not. ta very much.
